To simplify your work with the AMD-based (GPU) nodes and the dual software stacks, we have added a third login node to Marvin.
While the third login node uses the same software stack as the GPU nodes, it does not itself have a GPU.
You can reach the GPU node at the following address:
gpu.marvin.hpc.uni-bonn.de
You can connect via SSH normally just like any of our systems. The GPU login node shares the same home directory as all other Marvin nodes, so your existing SSH keys should also work immediately.
Inside the cluster, the node is called login03
.
The advantage of the third login node is that it is more similar in hardware configuration to the GPU nodes, in that it has AMD CPUs. That can potentially simplify:
When on the third login node, the AMD stack is loaded (see dual stacks page), enabling you to work with your GPU-related software and other tools.
